The OldPal Front Wheel Attachment turns your OldPal Rear Support Dog Wheelchair into a full support wheelchair. It adds a front harness and a pair of front wheels, so a dog whose front legs have started to weaken gets support at both ends without starting over with a new chair.
Grows with your dog. Mobility often changes over time, and many dogs need rear support first and front support later. The attachment lets the chair your dog already knows keep up with them, giving steady, balanced support on all four sides.
Match it to your chair. Choose the same size and rear leg height as your OldPal rear wheelchair. If you are not sure which chair you have, the size is on your order confirmation.
Comfortable and adjustable. The padded front harness carries weight through the chest, and every strap adjusts to your dog's shape.
Care. Wipe the frame with a damp cloth and hand wash the harness in mild soap.
How do I measure my dog?
Measure your dog's rear leg height: the distance from the top of the hip straight down to the toe pad.
It is easiest with your dog lying on their side. Let the leg rest at its natural bend rather than pulling it straight, or the measurement comes out long and you end up a size too big.
Can my dog use the bathroom in the wheelchair?
Yes, and for a lot of dogs it gets easier. The harness holds the back end up without closing anything off, so your dog can squat and relieve themselves while they are in the chair.
Dogs who spend most of the day lying down tend to go less often. Being upright and walking again usually helps things work the way they should.
How long does shipping take?
Mini, Small and Medium chairs arrive within 1 to 2 weeks from the day you order. Large and XL chairs arrive within 2 to 3 weeks.

Is a wheelchair comfortable for my dog?
Yes. The padded harness carries your dog's weight through the hips and chest rather than the spine, and every strap adjusts, so the chair can be set to your dog's shape rather than the other way round.
The frame height is set so the rear legs hang free or brush the ground lightly. Dogs with hind leg weakness, arthritis or degenerative myelopathy can then walk on their front legs without dragging or carrying weight through the back end.

How do I clean a dog wheelchair?
Wipe the aluminum frame down with a damp cloth after muddy or sandy walks, and check the wheels for grit while you are there.
Hand wash the harness in mild soap and warm water, then air dry it fully before the next use. A damp harness is what causes rubbing, not the chair itself.
How long will it take for my dog to adjust to using a wheelchair?
Most dogs take to a wheelchair within a few short sessions, and plenty are walking on their own in the first day or two. Senior dogs are no slower at it than young ones.
Start indoors on a flat, non slip floor, keep the first sessions to five or ten minutes, and reward every attempt. Once your dog works out that the wheels follow them, most of the hesitation goes.
